Copenhagen Attractions

Copenhagen has lots of museums and landmarks to explore. One of my favorites is the Glyptoteket museum, which was built by the son of the founder of the Carlsberg breweries. It is built around his personal art collection, and mainly has sculptures from Greece, Egypt, and Rome. There are also Rodin sculptures and a small gallery of French impressionist and post-impressionist paintings. The building itself is worth seeing too, since the middle of it has a huge glass dome over its winter garden.

None of my classes have had any field trips. The closest thing to an excursion was during the introduction week when we went throughout Copenhagen in groups. During this time, we saw the main tourist attractions and landmarks. This included the Little Mermaid Statue, Assistens Cemetary, Tivoli Gardens, Stroget, the Rundetaarn, the Copenhagen Opera House, Christiania, and the Black Diamond. We also ended up taking a boat tour around the harbor and some of the canals.
