Edinburgh Housing
Hi again!
As the second week of classes comes to an end, I’m finally starting to get adjusted to everything. Living in on campus housing has been great! I live in a 5 person, all female flat. We each have our own rooms, and share two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. The pictures below are all the different rooms in our flat.
My flatmates are also here on exchange, and we all get along really well. Three of us are American, and the other two are from India and China. All of them are unbelievably kind and have made the adjusting process much easier for me. Honestly, every single person I’ve met here has been so welcoming and warm, and I already feel at home.
The other students in my classes are also great. It was a little intimidating at first because it seemed like everyone already new everyone else. But as classes have progressed, they too have welcomed me and included me in class discussions. I’m so excited about the courses I’m taking. They all seem interesting and are very different than the classes I would normally be taking back home. The course work isn’t as overwhelming as I thought it would be, and I definitely have free time to travel. This weekend I’m headed to Copenhagen with some other American students! Although I do have some reading to do on the plane, managing course work and travel seems very doable. Hopefully it stays this way, because right now it’s the perfect balance!
