So as I mentioned in my other posts the cars in London can be insane! But luckily this Dialogue has provided us with Oyster Cards which is the London equivalent of our Charlie Cards. Here, the city is broken off in the rings called “zones” our Oyster Cards enabled us to travel in Zones 1 and 2; the 2 zones that cover most of London.

Getting to class is really easy, there’s a bus stop right outside of our dorm and the Oyster card functions like our Charlie Cards- you just tap it on the sensor to get on.

It’s about a 20-minute ride to school and at first I found it weird to have to bus to school as I’m used to just having to walk like I would if I lived on the actual International University of Richmond campus (our school here) or like I would at NU.

After a week and a half here it’s become commonplace to take the bus or Tube everywhere, but I’ve also noticed that London is a very walkable place. Walking is a great way to get to know and discover the area! My roommate and I didn’t realize how close we were to this beautiful bridge and walking path!

I love the underground system here, it’s organized, clear, and quick. Although it can be incredibly crowded it’s a fantastic way to get around the city!
