The St(art) of Art in Ireland

I chose to travel to Ireland for my Dialogue.

It may come as surprise to some of you, but I didn’t choose the Art in Ireland Dialogue for the Guinness.

Actually yeah, I definitely did.

All jokes aside, one of the main reasons I chose to travel to Ireland was because of the serenity and peacefulness of the Ballyvaughan countryside. Living in Boston is always an adventure. You never run out of activities to do or people to meet. But sometimes a girl just needs a break from the 4AM wake up honk from the greenline and the its-so-crowded-I-cant-move line at Rebecca’s.

There are a lot of things I hope to accomplish while abroad.

In addition to the change in environment, I’m excited to have my own studio and work on a project of my choosing. Although I have not yet decided what course of study I’d like to do, I know that Ireland will inspire me to create something wonderful.

I definitely want to step outside of my comfort zone and really delve into my artistic capabilities (which are minimal at best). My goal for the trip is to try new things and gain a better understanding of my artistic potential. I also can’t wait to learn all about the Irish culture. Although I’ve  been out of the United States before, I still have a lot to learn in terms of global awareness and understanding.
