A Typical Day in Rome and Venice

For photo class, a typical day really depends on the week. If we were editing photos for an assignment, we would begin in the classroom at 9am. On days where we would present and critique our photography assignments, we would also begin at 9am in the classroom, taking a break for lunch. When we had architecture class, we would start in the morning and spend the day going to different noteworthy locations throughout Venice. Typically, we would see an average of three places with significant architecture in a day. There would be a lecture about the history and structural aspects of each building from the different time periods, and then we would go inside the various churches and museums. Weekends were left to us, and most people would travel to other cities in Italy on either Saturday or Sunday, and then head over to the beach on the Lido on the other day. For our photo assignments, we were expected to be shooting throughout the week as well in order to have a selection of photographs to edit for the assignment and critique.
