Exploring Scandinavia

Living in Denmark makes it easy to travel to other Scandinavian countries. They’re close enough that you can visit for a quick day or weekend trip. During my time here, my favorite trips were to Malmo and Stockholm in Sweden. I went to Malmo for a day trip with two guys who live on the same floor as me. We took a short train ride over the Oresund Bridge, adn soon we arrived in Malmo, the third largest city in Sweden. We spent time walking around the different squares and Kungsparken. We also spent time at the Malmo Museer (an aquarium and art museum), the Technology and Maritime Museum, and the Malmo Castle. At the end of the day, one friend had to leave, and the other one and I continued on to Stockholm.

We took a night train, and we arrived early the next morning. We spent our first couple of hours walking around Gamla Stan and taking pictures. After a quick breakfast, we bought a huge pass that allowed us to tour enter the Royal Apartments, the Treasury, the Tre Kronor Museum, the Museum of Antiquities, and the Riddarholm Church. This took us most of the day, with my favorite places being the Museum of Antiquities, a sculpture gallery, and the Riddarholm Church, where many Swedish royals are buried.
