Field Trips, Museums, and Landmarks in Japan

It is really hard for me to pick my favorite museum or landmark because each of the museums and landmark shine in a different way. The Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima touched me in a special way. It changed my stance on complicated issues like nuclear weapons. I had a new vision for peace. Tokyo Skytree, the tallest building in Japan, showcased an amazing view. The view from the top of Skytree is breathtaking and amazing. You can see all of Tokyo and everything is just so small when you’re looking down. It makes your problems just seem that much smaller. These are just two examples of the many different places that I visited. There are so many museums and landmarks in Japan. Once you visit all of them, it is really impossible to pick your “favorite” place.
In addition to the museum and landmark trips, there were class field trips and excursions that were also amazing. The most memorable excursion was to the small town of Yamanaka. Yamanaka is a rural town in Japan. It is the best place to go and experience nature. The lake there is absolutely beautiful and the air is really fresh. The scenery wasn’t the best part of the trip though. My favorite part of the trip was going there with students from Meiji University. We were able to have fun and communicate with each other. We shared card games and jokes. Northeastern and Meiji really bonded during the trip. This trip will stand out because this was the start of a genuine friendship with the Meiji students.
