Galway Girl
If you ever go to Galway, expect to get Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran stuck in your head.
This weekend, my classmates and I took a trip to Galway for the International Arts Festival. Little did we know, it didn’t actually start till the week after (sad reacts only). We still had a great weekend nonetheless and I think it was my favorite spot in Ireland so far.
Galway is a harbor city on Ireland’s west coast. It only took us about an hour via public transportation to get there. Eyre Square, Galway’s city center, is the main hub of the city. There are various restaurants, cafes, boutiques and activities in the lively place. Not to mention the pedestrian streets throughout the city are probably the cutest walkways I’ve ever seen!
I can’t explicitly explain why Galway was my favorite location so far. The whole vibe of the city was just so welcoming and bustling with energy and excitement. There was also a lot of diversity in culture and nationality that was also very refreshing! I only spend a weekend in Galway and I still feel as though there was so much I didn’t get to see and didn’t get to do. I’m excited to see what’s in store for our next city, Dublin!
