My favorite trip, hands down, has been my mini vacation to Paris this past weekend. Portugal is in a rather decent spot for traveling all of western Europe. Which means if you book early enough you can find unbelievably cheap flights to different countries. This is my first time traveling to Europe. So anything I have seen before this was through internet images or pictures taken by others. To go to Paris and actually experience all the famous sites, such as the Eiffel tower and arc de triomphe, was a wonderful experience.
Within Portugal, I have traveled to many different cities. I have to say that my most memorable experience was my trip to Porto, a medieval city in the North of Portugal. My program planned a weekend trip for its students in Porto. Porto is about 4 hrs away from Lisbon by train and is the 2nd largest city in Portugal. Porto was also the city that inspired many things in J.K. Rowling’s famous Harry Potter series. If you’re a big Harry Potter fan, I definitely recommend visiting Porto and doing a tour.
