My Art Project

For my art project, I decided to create fluid abstract acrylic paintings.

It took a lot of trial and error, but after a lot of experimentation I finally decided what to do for my project. I played around with paintings on different surfaces. I tried glass, wood, paper, cardboard, canvas, and more. In addition, I used ink, spray paint, acrylics, and water colors. Finally, I found something that I thought really resonated with me and effectively portrayed the beauty that I’ve seen here in Ireland.

My program on this DOC is Art Exploration in Ireland. I grew up in Boston and then decided to pursue higher education here as well, so I've been in the city essentially my whole life. I'm excited to immerse myself in a new environment and experience a plethora of different cultural customs. I look forward to seeing new fashion, trying new foods, learning different dialects and experiencing the countryside of Ireland. In addition to the global aspect of this Dialogue, I am very excited to spend 4 weeks creating my own work of art. Although I'm unsure as to what project I will be pursuing, I know that the land and people of Ballyvaughan will inspire me to create something wonderful.
