My Typical Day

I rush to get ready and head downstairs to have breakfast usually right around 9 am. We usually need to meet at 9:30am to get onto a bus outside our hotel for our first site visit. Some days we have one family business visit, other days 2. Each last about an hour to an hour and a half. We usually take a tour of the business, get small refreshments, and ask questions to the owners.  Bus rides can be as short as walking ten minutes or they can be as long as an hour away. After the site visits, we usually have an hour and a half free to get lunch and explore around a town near the business we visited.

After this it is usually about 2:00pm. We usually have some type of excursion to see the city we are in whether it be to see a cathedral, witness a festival, go to the beach, go to a museum, or go on a walking tour with a guide.   Around 4:00pm we head back on the bus to our hotel, and the rest of the day is free. I usually go into the center of town (a short walk from the hotel) and shop for clothing, get dinner with students, and get a gelato or crepe on the way back to the hotel. Once in the hotel, I hang out with people, go on the Internet, or do some of my homework. And that’s my day!
