Promenade on Rambla Nova

We live in Residencia Univesitaria Sant Jordi, an affiliate hostel of URV. It is a very beautiful facility with great amenities. Each room has two beds, two closets, a mini kitchen, TV, study desks & chairs, a bathroom and a dinning table. There is also a furnished common area where all the participants of this dialogue meet to study/spend time together. All of us are on the same floor so it is fairly easy to meet with others. Besides, we have a facebook group through with we communicate so no one is left out of the conversation.

Right outside our hostel is the Rambla Nova, a typical Spanish street lined with shops, restaurants & bars on both sides of the street, trees and benches through the median. It starts with a roundabout, then leads to Castell, all the way to a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean. In the evenings, it is filled with families, friends and the soft evening ocean breeze. It is the perfect street for a promenade. The restaurants are surprisingly priced way below my expectation and I am yet to taste something I do not like, which might be never.

PS: I found a great gym called Viding, right next to our hostel. The coordinator from URV managed to get us a special rate of £35 for the duration of our stay here, extra motivation for me to get up early in the morning to go workout before class. If you are into sightseeing, gastronomy, beautiful beaches and working out, I’m not sure there is a better place for you to do all these in the same breathe.
