Rings in Edinburgh

Living in London is fantastic- the underground tube system makes it really easy to get around from where we live in Chelsea all the way to Camden and Shoreditch. The people are really friendly and really the best way to meet them is to go to local coffee shops, pubs, and clubs! I haven’t really had a bad experience with the people here (other than them bringing up Trump a lot, but that’s a given).

On our short trip to Edinburgh Scotland I got 3 rings from a really sweet Spanish lady on the Royal Mile. One of them was a simple band with a dip in it which goes with my treble clef ring. I got a treble clef ring for a couple of reasons: 1) because I play the flute, saxophone, and piano and music has always been a really important part of my life. 2) because the street music here is amazing! There is so much energy and talented people in this country. I’ve been to several concerts that were really cheap and had great bands.

The third ring has 3 spirals that are all connected. The lady who sold me them told me that they represent the three stages of womanhood and that really resonated with me as I live with my mother and my grandma.

Keeping in budget has been hard but doable. The value of the dollar depreciated in the middle of are trip so many of up have had to adjust a bit.

It’s been a great trip so far- I can’t wait to finish it out strong!
