The Beginning
As our uber driver drove us from the airport to the apartments we were staying at, I watched outside as it began to look more and more like we were in a foreign country. Everything here seems so like we are in a completely different era. You can tell you are in the city but can also see beautiful castles and hills in the background!
The weather has been pretty mild, but a little chilly at times. It also rains so sporadically so I feel like I will have to keep a raincoat or an umbrella with me at all times. Also, the sun sets so late, it was 10pm and still looked like day time outside! That is going to take some getting used to.
My program did not really have an orientation. After we got to our apartment, which was around 9am, we were pretty much free to do whatever we wanted until our group dinner that evening. I ended up just getting some food and taking a nap because of the jet lag.
