A typical weekday usually starts with me getting up around 7:30. Unfortunately because the engineering campus is so far away from my flat, I need to leave myself about an hour to get to class in the morning. It’s times like this that I miss the 5 minute walk from Hemenway to Snell. The walk to class here is beautiful though. I pass by enormous fields of daffodils, and I have spectacular views of Arthur’s Seat the whole time. Once I arrive on campus I usually grab a coffee and work on homework before class starts. The more work I get done in the morning means I’ll have more free time to explore the city in the evening. Classes run from anywhere between 9 and 5, but you won’t have more than three hours of class on a given day. After classes are finished, I usually head back to main campus and grab a table in Teviot (the student union on main campus.) I’ll try and finish up some more work and study before calling it a day. I’ll head back to my flat, make dinner, and then meet up with friends to explore a different part of the city. Some days we’ll get dessert, or go to a pub, or just wander around.
