Documentaries and New Friends
As the first week comes to a close I can firmly say that I am definitely going to get hit by a car while in London.
All joking aside- I love London and the people on my trip are quickly becoming great friends. We’re all staying in a dorm called Lightfoot Hall. While it is the smallest place I’ve ever lived in with one other person, it’s fantastic storage and incredible location makes it all worth it.
We all had a chance to get to know each other last night (Friday) and it was really fun to learn where everyone was from as well as meet other students around town when we all went out! I even found 2 other students not in the NU program who are also from Minnesota!
For the “Documentary Filmmaking” part of my dialogue the 30 kids in my group were split up into 6 smaller groups (the groups were formed back in March). My group is amazing! We all mesh really well and since we had a chance to meet and talk before getting to London, becoming better friends with them wasn’t hard at all!
We’ve begun filming our documentaries and learning about English culture and while it can be sometimes hard to keep in mind that I’m London for school, I’m learning more than ever through my classes!
