West London Fun
My residence while on dialogue is more than I hoped it would be. It was built a mere 2 years ago. I, along with the rest of the students in my dialogue live in a student residence building in a town call Ravenscourt. Ravenscourt is a town on the west outskirts of central London. Only students are allowed to live here! What I think is really interesting is that there are students here from America and a bunch of other countries who actually go to university here in England.
As far as the building goes you must have a key to enter the building and your personal side of the building. There are three sides- A, B and C. Then your own room has a key to unlock the door. As far as rooms go, there is a closet, desk, bathroom, kitchenette, and one or two beds depending on the amount of people in the room. I share a room with one person and it’s super spacious, new and modern! In the ground floor, there is a common room with a TV, couches and vending machines that is attached to an outside courtyard. There is also a laundry room and a game room. All in all, it’s a great place to live!
I was fortunate to come on this dialogue with 5 really great friends that I’ve hung out with all year before this. It has been really easy to branch out and talk to other people on the trip. There is only a group of 28 of us on this trip and we travel to a lot of places using public transportation so you’re not always going to be standing next to the same group of friends and we all have something in common to talk about, whether it’s majors- as most of us are Bouve- or the field/career that we’re interested in, or experiences at Northeastern that we’ve had, there is never really a moment of silence. Ive met a lot of cool people on this dialogue already and I can’t wait to really establish a relationship with them over the course of the next month.
