Art Exhibition

This week, Northeastern students will show off their art pieces in an exhibition.

From day 1, our group has been working hard in the studios to complete large-scale works of art. Each student spent a few days exploring Ireland and gaining inspiration. Then, we brainstormed different ideas for what we wanted to focus on for our projects.

Some people are doing paintings, some are doing charcoal drawings, some are doing installations or performances! Below are a few sneak peaks of the students’ artwork – stay tuned for the final pieces!

My program on this DOC is Art Exploration in Ireland. I grew up in Boston and then decided to pursue higher education here as well, so I've been in the city essentially my whole life. I'm excited to immerse myself in a new environment and experience a plethora of different cultural customs. I look forward to seeing new fashion, trying new foods, learning different dialects and experiencing the countryside of Ireland. In addition to the global aspect of this Dialogue, I am very excited to spend 4 weeks creating my own work of art. Although I'm unsure as to what project I will be pursuing, I know that the land and people of Ballyvaughan will inspire me to create something wonderful.
