Daily Life in Viña

Daily life in Viña definitely varies quite a bit, but I’ll try and give my readers a bit of an idea. I usually wake up around 9:00 or so in the morning. I have classes around 10 on Monday and Wednesdays and volunteer at about the same time on Tuesdays. If I have time to squeeze in a small run along the beach, I try to.

I walk to class, just about ten minutes, and take the bus when I volunteer as it is at an elementary school up in the hills a bit. For lunch, some days I return to my house to eat with my host family. Other days, I will pack a lunch and bring it with me. I have most of my afternoons free and like to spend them either at the beach, exploring the city, or working in a coffee shop on homework or trip planning.

Around 6:00, I typically return home to have a little rest and some food. I will hang out with my host family and eat or catch up on school work or just relax and read my book. I often like to watch the sunset with my friends at the beach which is getting later and later every day. We will watch the sun sink into the pacific and share many laughs. Some nights we make a fire.

I will then return home to go to bed. Usually read my book before going to sleep and resting up for another day!
